PILATES & YOGA MAT CLASSES

OUR MAT CLASSES ARE DIFFERENT. RELIEVING YOU OF THOSE DAILY ACHES AND PAINS, YOU WILL LEAVE FEELING STRONGER, HEALTHIER AND IN MORE IN CONTROL OF YOUR BODY AND LIFE.

Movement is personal. How you move is shaped by the makeup of your body, your lifestyle and your past. Our classes will give you a regular routine that helps to relieve you of general stiffness and get more out of your body.

We’re looking for more mat or studio Pilates teachers to work from our lovely studio. Get in touch to have a chat with us.

Mat Pilates & Yoga Classes

Just you, and the mat. And, of course, some expert support from us. You’ll finish feeling lighter and taller and you’ll increase your understanding of how your body moves and works so that you can change how you move and live, long after the class has finished. Our boutique studio is small, friendly and supportive.

Hybrid Mixed Pilates

This small group class is run as a hybrid class allowing you to join by Zoom if you can’t make it to class or join In Person when you prefer (space permitting). The emphasis is on movement awareness. This approach is slow in order to allow you to understand your body better. The outcome is that you’ll be supported to build strength, flexibility and have a body that supports you with everything from running marathons to moving trees. Men and women of all ages are welcome. This class is full in person, we do have spaces for online only attendees. Contact Maureen, Owner of Complete Movement to find out more.

Yin Yoga & Gentle Flow Yoga

Yin Yoga offers something a little different from the more dynamic styles you may have experienced. It’s a deeply nourishing practice that targets the ligaments, joints, and fascia through long-held, gentle stretches. The benefits can be profound—increased mobility and flexibility, better sleep, greater mental clarity—but at its heart, Yin is about giving yourself permission to slow down. It’s a chance to step away from the hustle of daily life, take a deep breath, and reconnect with your body.  Whether you’re brand new to yoga, returning after a break, or simply unsure if you can touch your toes—you are warmly welcome, just as you are.

Gentle Flow Yoga is also deeply calming. Expect mindful movement, grounding breathwork, gentle strengthening and lots of encouragement to move in a way that feels good for you. Classes are kept small which means plenty of individual attention, space to ask questions and the ability to shape each practice around the people in the room. This creates a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can move at their own pace and feel properly supported.

These classes are welcoming to all ages, levels and bodies. These classes are suitable for you whether you’re completely new to Yoga, returning after time away or simply looking for a softer, more supportive way to move.

What my clients say

  • “I honestly don’t know how I’d have managed these past few months without the very focused support, the absolute positivity and the overwhelming sense of empowerment that I have gained from your Pilates sessions. My heartfelt thanks.”

    Patsy
  • “I must say you have changed my view on Pilates completely. Despite having had back problems in the past, my exercise regime has always been rather full on and I have never really enjoyed Pilates. However, your approach has changed my view completely and I now really think about my body and posture. I also appreciate how much Pilates complements my other exercise and I wouldn’t be without it. So a big THANK YOU!”

    Shelagh
  • "Thanks for all your help and for a fantastic session. I’ve really benefitted from your expert tuition. We were talking on Saturday about people who are gifted. I think you are one of them. You listen well and then teach me in a way that works for me. That is gifted, in my book. Thank you."

    Neil
  • “I have really enjoyed the class and the understanding that it also provides regarding body mechanics and how it all works!! I find this really useful and much more beneficial than any Pilates classes I have done over the years in the past - so thank you!”
